Agent-As-Client: The Structural Advantage

Crossing Point’s White Label and White Label + solutions operate on an agent-as-client basis. This structure is designed to provide material operational and regulatory advantages for advisory firms.

No Client Data Transfer

Crossing Point does not receive or process client personal data. This is designed to reduce GDPR complexity, operational risk and compliance burden.

Clear Governance Lines

The adviser is the principal decision-maker for the client relationship; Crossing Point is the investment specialist. This is intended to reduce the blurred responsibilities that can arise in direct-to-client DFM arrangements.

Adviser Retains Control

The adviser remains responsible for suitability and retains full ownership of the client relationship. Crossing Point provides the investment engine; the adviser provides the advice.

Simpler Oversight and PROD Mapping

The agent-as-client structure keeps responsibilities clearly separated, which can make oversight and PROD documentation more straightforward.

Why Go Agent-As-Client Over Direct-to-Client

Many DFMs still operate on a principal basis, becoming your client's investment manager, not yours. In practice, direct-to-client typically means:

1.

Client data being shared with the DFM

2.

DFM suitability obligations that may overlap with adviser suitability obligations

3.

A greater risk of client-relationship dilution

4.

More complex PROD and oversight requirements
